Hello everyone! I’m Albert — a lifelong model railroader passionate about building and detailing realistic layouts, wiring complex control systems, and mastering both steam-era and modern diesel scenes. I’ve been involved in the hobby for over 15 years — from benchwork planning and baseboard joinery to DCC programming and scenery artistry.
I don’t approach layout design like a cazino — no random wiring, random train runs, or hoping things work out. I plan sub-districts, wire with proper gauge, test frog polarity and decoders meticulously, and always keep documentation up to date. For me, reliable operation is a source of pride.
One of my most satisfying projects was operating a continuous schedule over 777 run cycles across a weekend club display — no derailments, consistent current draw, smooth block transitions, and happy operators all around. That session reinforced how attention to detail turns a model railway from a static display into a believable miniature world.
I’m here to share CAD track plans, DCC programming tricks, weathering techniques, and feeder wiring best practices — and to learn from others who see model railroading as a craft, not a gamble. Let’s build compelling layouts — with precision and passion!
